DIY Stage

Cindy Macnab!

Cindy has always had a passion for restoration, vintage and even had a side antique business
for a time. She was excited to discover paint that you didn’t have to strip the furniture first and
joined the chalk paint craze early. Soon she was being asked to teach others how to paint
furniture and Daysville Designs was born. She has taken numerous courses to learn her craft
and is happy to share whatever she has learned. Cindy retired from her ‘real job’ and now
manages Lyfe Style & Studio in Lloydminster, where not only does she sell the Canadian paint
line, Fusion Mineral Paint, but she also paints furniture, and runs workshops which includes
furniture and cabinet painting as well as craft items such as signs and stencilled pillows. In
addition you will find many DIY items in the store and local artisan items such as pottery, signs
and crocheted items.
. Cindy is offering sessions at the DIY stage, including Cabinet Facelift which will take you
through proper prep, painting tips as well as glazes and topcoats. You will be amazed at how
you can take your outdated cabinets and make them beautiful again with low cost. In addition,
she will be also demonstrating Furniture Facelift where she will demonstrate how to take a
piece of furniture from drab to fab, including what is different about the Fusion paint line, special
effects such as stencils, efex, transfers and glazes and waxes. Follow her on facebook @
Daysville Designs or at the store @ Lyfe Style & Studio to keep up on what is new and exciting
in the world of furniture painting and DIY!
